COMMITTEE MEETING
The September 30 meeting was called to order by Chairman
Kidd. She welcomed all who attended.
Luther White led the Invocation.
Chairman Kidd led the Committee in the Pledge of
Allegiance.
Don Morton read the Republican Creed.
The Secretary read the Minutes of August 5. Don Morton made a motion to approve as
read. The motion was seconded by Kirt
Doersch. The motion carried.
Bob Meyer gave the Treasurer’s Report (a copy is
attached). A motion was made by Jarl Hannum and seconded by Bob Schwartz to
approve. The motion carried.
Old Farm Days (Oct. 4, from 10-4) – a sign up sheet was
passed around for workers at the Republican tent. Set up will be on Friday at
BBQ – Help is needed with parking and making and putting up
signs. There are currently 26
sponsors. We hope to get 4 more.
Phone Survey – there are approximately 800 names to be
added to our call list.
The new members to be voted in are as follows: Patrick Kershaw, Rick Kelly, Ed & Debra
Peed, Sam & Linda Edwards, Gary Clore, and Kurt Miceli. A motion was made by Don Morton, and seconded
by Doug Johnson, to approve membership.
The motion carried.
Doug Johnson made a motion that a $500 campaign contribution
be given to each of the two Republican nominees, Richard Harry and Debbie
Rittenhouse. Bob Schwarz seconded the
motion, which carried unanimously with one abstention (Debbie Rittenhouse).
It was also noted by Chairman Kidd that 5th
District Chair Tucker Watkins had a $200 check for each of the candidates.
Phone banking for the election was discussed. Chairman Kidd was going to get back in touch
with Chris Fairchild about using his offices for a phone
banking. Doug Johnson volunteered his
home as a back up.
Chairman Kidd expressed a need for poll workers, and
encouraged the Precinct Captains to start signing people up now to ensure poll
coverage. She also stressed the need for
workers inside the polls.
Chairman Kidd asked that the Committee write letters of
endorsement for the Republican candidates.

sponsor a “Meet and Greet” for Debbie Rittenhouse on Tuesday, October 14, at
