Fluvanna Review 06/19/08 Courthouse Chatter by William J. Des Rochers:
"Republicans End Leadership Fight – Fluvanna’s Republican Party leadership fight is over. Virginia state party officials overturned a regional body and declared Mr. Doug Johnson the winner over Mr. Bob Schwarz.
In a message to party members, Mr. Schwarz wrote: 'the decision was based upon the fact that the bylaws of the Fluvanna Republican Committee are flawed concerning meeting requirement's and, as such, anyone can be a candidate for chairman.'
Schwarz thanked those who supported his efforts during his term and the appeals process."
